WordCamp Baltimore: How to Promote (and Profit from) Your Content

This is a prescheduled post. On the off chance the Earth spins off its axis or my car ends up in the Inner Harbor on Saturday — both events which would, presumably, prevent me from speaking on time — please enjoy the slides but disregard my comments.

Today I gave a talk at WordCamp Baltimore about how you — yes, you! — can effectively promote content that lives in WordPress, whether it’s for a personal blog, a B2B website, or your eCommerce business.

I also touched on a few ways that you can profit from that content, even if you don’t sell anything or have any grand aspirations to start up a WooCommerce store.

Whether you missed out or just want a replay, you can get the slides right here:

While I have you, friends: in case you missed the announcement, I’ll also be speaking at this year’s WordCamp US in Philadelphia, PA. My talk will be on breaking through fear to speak at WordPress events — something which, as you might suspect, is very near and dear to me. 🙂

Tickets are still available, and you can stream the event for free if you can’t make it in person, so save your place now. I’ll be speaking in the very last spot on Sunday just before State of the Word, which should be… interesting. Haha.

Thanks for your interest, and if you’re just getting to know me — welcome 🙂
